Progressive Optimist Club of Barbados
Optimist International is an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to “Bring out the best in youth, our communities and ourselves.”
Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be.
The Progressive Optimist Club is one of nine (9) Optimist Clubs in Barbados, formed in May 2010. The Clubs meetings are held every 1st Monday of the month at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC), starting at 5:30pm with refreshments.
Bring a friend or come alone and join us at our meeting to get an understanding of what we do. If you are interested in serving the youth of our nation & interacting with other Optimists for Personal Growth & Involvement, and you are not available on Mondays, there are six other adult (>18yrs) clubs in Barbados meeting on various days of the week.
